Not from a horror film, but everywhere around… young girls… they think it is fashionable and should be attracting or beautiful, but this is how I describe poeple with colored lenses – scary!!!

And the number of girls with dollish eyes is increasing around me - some friends, neighbors, acquaintances, people passing me by – looking like zombies, with nothing saying eyes, with no expression in them at all, just strange colors, blue, green, grey, so much alike and vividly artificial. And I always avoid those artificial looks, always had the feeling that people try to hide their self-being behind those lanses, as they say “eyes are the mirror of the soul”, and any desire to talk to people with frozen eyes disappears the next moment.

Why is this trend? Is it really beautiful or am I exaggerating something? They do not have eyesight problems, they do not have a role in a movie, where a girl with sea-deep blue eyes is needed. Do they have mental problems?

… how much I like my dark brown eyes…!!!

UPDATED: The first two festivals are now behind - Rock & Dram festival, where we performed for about 30 minites, and Green Fest rock festival with participation of 9 bands. Guess the concerts were a success!!!

Metal attack festival is yet to take place on April 18, this Friday. Four Georgian and two Armenian bands are to play that day.

METAL ATTACK FESTIVAL
Zhesht.am and Vibrographus proudly present the METAL ATTACK FESTIVAL. All metalheads are invited to the Yerevan Puppet Theatre on 18th of April, where the flagmen of Armenian extreme metal, the bands Stryfe and Sworn will share the stage with 4 Georgian bands. The bands chosen to shake the Armenian metal scene are Im Nebel (black metal), Bohema (grindcore), Angel of Disease (death metal) and Monofucktura (metalcore). As always Vibrographus will provide professional sound and lighting, while more than 4 hourse of extreme music will satisfy even the most demanding metalhead.

Շաբաթ` առավոտ.
գիշերը կարծես հանգիստ եմ քնել,
ու արթնացել եմ ոչ թե զարթուցիչիս ելևէջներից,
որն ամեն առավոտ ինձ համար “Ով սիրու~ն, սիրու~ն” է երգում,
այլ` արևաշողի…ա~խ… ջերմ հպումից,
ու երգում եմ կրկին`
“Առավոտ լուսո, արեգակն արդար”…

Երկար քնելու մեջ մեկ լավ և մեկ վատ բան կա.
մեկ` որ երկար ես քնում,
մեկ էլ` երկար քնելդ նշանակում է, որ այսօր աշխատանքդ ոչ թե կանուխ է ու դրսում,
այլ` մի քիչ ուշոտ, բայց ներսում.

Նորից խոհանոց, գազօջախ,
փոշեկուլ, բաղնիք-զուգարան,
պոլի շոր, փոշիներ, նորից արդուկ…
Ու այդ ամենից հետո` բաղձանք դեպի մաքուր ջուր, բազկաթոռ
 ու քեզ նախկինում նողկալի, իսկ այժմ շատ-շատ հարազատ հեռուստացույց:

Արդեն ժամն է.
Գնամ հասնեմ աշխարհի ծերը` ընկերոջս հիվանդատես,
որ հասցնեմ մնացածն էլ (չմոռանամ բոթաս առնել):

Ու նորից մա-մե-մի-մո-մու,
կրկին զի-հի-հի,
գռուդնոյն աշխատացրու,
բերանդ բացի` ժպտալով,
ակնթարթի մասին չմոռանաս,
(մեկ էլ բոթասի…
Վա~յ.. բայց ախր փողս ծախսեցի)…
Անցողիկ նոտաներին ուշադրություն դարձրու…

Թե էսօր բոթաս չառնեմ, էլ չեմ առնի,
ծակ բոթասով էլ ման եմ գալիս` ծուռ են նայում,
թե չէ ի՞նչ, ծակ բոթասով մարդ չեք տեսե՞լ:

Չալարեմ, իջնեմ տղերքին տեսնեմ,
պարտքով փող ուզեմ, վաղը կտամ, ճիշտ եմ ասում:

Թե չէ չգիտես, որ քո հագով ոչ շոր կա, ոչ կոշիկ,
եղածներն էլ էս մեկի նման են`
միակը և վիտրինայի վրա երկար մնալուց կեղտոտված,
ես էլ թարսի նման չեմ պատրաստվում արդեն կեղտոտ բոթասին քաշովս մեկ փող տամ
 (հեռախոսիս տվեցի` խերվեցի, բախտավոր գլխիս).
շատ էլ որ բոլոր “էլիտար” խնութների բոթասներից մենակ էս մեկնա հագովս….

Ի~նչ լավ եղանակ է…

Ուզում ես քայլել,,քայլել
Ժպտալ արևին,,, ու արևն էլ` քեզ
Քայլդ դեռ չարած քամու հետ թռչել..
(Ջհանդամը բոթասը),

Մեկ էլ զգույշ` չվրաերթես այն կնոջը
 (երևի բոմժ ա…բայց ես բոլոր բոմժերին ճանաչում եմ, ուզում եմ դեմքը մտաբերել),
որ հենց հիմա քաղաքի ամենակենտրոնի աղբամանի միջից զգուշությամբ քաշում է ճլորած,
մի քանի տեղից կծոտած, թղթից էլ բարակ պեռաշկին,
ու գաղտագողի, աջ ու ձախ նայելով` հապշտապ ճանկում է
 և ագահությամբ բերանի մեջ ճխտելով` հեռանում:
Իսկ դու, քամու թռիչքի իներցիայով արբած,
չես էլ հասցնում կանգնել, հետ գնալ… ու…
Ու… չգիտեմ … մի բան անել…
Նամանավանդ, երբ հիշում ես, որ պայուսակումդ տանձի հյութ ունեիր.
գուցե խմեր` ուտելիքը բկին չկանգներ:

Էհհհ….
Չեն էլ թողնում մի քիչ ճախրես…
Ու էդ պահին հետևից լսում ես մի պառավ կնոջ ձայն.
“Բալա ջան,, օգնես էս բորդուրը իջնեմ”,
արագ շրջվում ես ու հասկանում,
որ խնդրանքը ոչ թե քեզ, այլ երկու օրոր-շորոր օրիորդների է ուղղված,
որոնք, թերևս, արհամարհանքով նայում են տարեց, պուճուր-մուճուր, գլխաշորով ու մի երեք խալաթ իրար վրա հագած կնոջը,
երևի մտքում էլ ասելով`
“Մեկը լինի մեզ օգնի,, էս կրունկների վրա կոտորվեցինք”,
ու դիք-դիք անցնում են:
….Տատի ջան, վազում եմ քեզ օգնելու, մեղքս քավելու,
Էս էլ իմ ձեռքը
 (տեսնես, որ մեծանամ ես է՞լ էսքան կպուճուրանամ, կմտնեմ…
Օօ~օֆ.. բալամ, բալամ…)…
Ու ստանալով տատիի օրշնանքները, մեկ էլ` հորդորը իրեն չմոռանալ հարսանիքիս հրավիրել,
 ինձնից գոհ-գոհ հեռանում եմ …
 Ջհայնամը բոթասը~~~

Բայց ախր առավոտից փողոցները թրև ես գալիս,
Սոված չե՞ս, ծարավ չե՞ս…
Իսկ էստեղ այնքա~ն համեղ խնձորով բլիթներ են վաճառու~մ…

Բոթաս չառա…
էս էլ քո փողը… մերսի
Գիտեմ.. գիտեմ..
Հեսա կասես “էլի ուտու՞մ ես”,
Վրայիցս էլ չի երևում,
Էն ծակ բոթասս էլ հագնեմ իսկը Կորեայի որբերից կլինեմ.
Էնքան ասեցիր` բկիս շարվեց…
Հաաա…ճիշտա.. մոտս հյութ ունեմ.. տանձի~
Էս մնացածն էլ չեմ կարա ուտեմ,
Իսկ սա էլ քո` երեկվա չկերած մսով կարկանդա՞կն է:
Չգցե”’ս,
Տու’ր ինձ,
Չէ, ես միս չեմ ուտում,
Բայց տո’ւր ինձ…
Ես գիտեմ….

Տուն գնալու ճանապարհին մսով կարկանդակն ու խնձորով բլիթը թողնում ես տեսանելի մի վայրում` մեծ քարե ծաղկամաններից մեկի վրա.
Էստեղ երևի հարմար է…նկատելի…
Հույս ունեմ, որ աղբը չեն նետի…

Իսկ կանգառում նորից նույն ժամին բարի գիշեր ես մաղթում արդեն մոտ 20 օր իրենց արտակարգ քաղաքը հսկող զինվորներին տուն տանող զինվորական մեքենաների շարասյանը…

If you ever find a free time to kill till April 20, I advise you to visit the environmental exhibition titled “Become the voice of voiceless” at NPAK (Armenian center for contemporary experimental art). I blogged about this event, as well as the previous activities (Teghut Forest destruction in particular) carried out by this group of young environmental activists before.

The aim of this exhibition is to react to the urgent ecological issues through raising public awareness and developing environmental ethic through initiating various activities. Incidentally, it was the successful intervention of this young people due to which the destruction of a natural monument called Garni’s “Stone Symphony” was halted.

This much about the official part.

I must admit that I was deeply touched during the exhibition. I had the feeling that those big photos of animals and nature were staring at me with begging eyes to listen to their voice, to understand. I must also admit that some sadness was sensed in the atmosphere, some unease, which double the concern reminding that the problems are right there at the threshold and need urgent solutions. Photos of the untouched nature and clean sky in parallel with destroyed forests and polluted rivers, happy photos of animals with loving and caring people, and those of dead animals killed by the human for different purposes. That was quite impressive!

I want to thank to these several young people for a sincere organization of these activities and alerting to the concerning phenomena in our country, as well as for providing those voiceless creatures with the opportunity to speak through their voice. I want to hope that these kind of activities will achieve their goal to the extent that no other environmental protests and exhibitions will be needed in the future.

The globe must be very…very… extremely round,

The observers of the It’s Your Choice (IYC), a non-governmental domestic election monitoring organization, monitored the February 19 presidential election in all 1923 polling stations of Armenia.

A day prior to the voting day the IYC monitored the sessions of electoral commissions and other relevant procedures held that day.

On the Election Day the IYC monitored the activities of electoral commissions, legality of voting and ballot counting, environment inside and outside polling stations, and expression of the voters’ free will.

As a result of the observation of the presidential election of 2008, the It’s Your Choice observed some tension and incidents which occurred during the voting process. According to our estimation, the tension was stimulated by the environment of intolerance dominating the entire official campaign period as well as impermissible methods of electoral campaigning irrespective of the principles of democratic elections, which were also emphasized in the IYC pre-election report.

We would like to invite you to participate in the environmental exhibition “BECOME THE VOICE OF VOICELESS’ which will take place from 14 March to 5 April in NPAK.

Mostly photos will be exhibited, but there will be also paintings, sculptures, video art, etc.
The exhibited photos will present the untouched nature as well as polluted and damaged areas. The exhibition aims at arousing love and care in our society towards the nature and animals, contributing to the development of eco-consciousness and informing people about the crucial environmental problems. In the frames of the exhibition there will be also eco-seminars, films on environmental topics, rock and classical music concerts, etc.
